Knovel History 1990년 초반Plastics Design Library (PDL) 설립 플라스틱사업과 관련된 technical reference 서적 출판 출판사명을 William Andrew Publishing (WAP)로 변경. 1990년 중반WAP CD-ROM 출판 시작 first CD-ROM Noyes Publications 인수. 1999년 출판사로부터 contents 통합 및 서지 정보 제공의 혁신, 특허 출원 분석을 위하여 WAP으로 부터 독립하여 Knovel Corporation설립. 현재Knovel은 2,000만개 이상의 데이터를 보유, 30여개의 출판사로부터 1,300 title 이상의 reference 정보 검색 및 7가지 Web-based 분석 tool 사용
