2. Objectives • You will learn how to add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to change the color of the flower • You will learn about the search feature in the layers panel • You will use the new search feature to isolate the text layer

4. Adding an Adjustment Layer • Adjustment layers can be added to an image to apply color and tonal adjustments without permanently changing the pixel values in the image • Ex - If you add a color balance adjustment layer to an image, you can experiment with different colors repeatedly, because the color change only happens on the adjustment layer • If you decide to return to your original pixel values you can hide or delete the adjustment layer • An adjustment layer affects all of the layers below it in the images stacking order unless a selection is active when you create it or you create a clipping mask

6. Updating Layer Effects Layer effects are automatically updated when you make changes to a layer For example: You can edit text and watch how the layer effect tracks the change
