  4. City Lahore The capital of Punjab, a city of around 9m, with a growth rate of around 3% MBS UU

  5. Vision • The Vision is to provide the city of Lahore with a high quality Public Transport System, with a road based mass transit system, in the medium term. MBS UU

  6. Basics • Estimated Project Cost ~ Rs. 30 Billion • Total Length 32 km (Elevated portion – 8.5 km) • Median Side BRT with one each lane each direction • Level Boarding for Passenger from Station • Commercial Speed of 25 Km/h & reliability of service

  7. Length • The Route (Green Corridor) is 32km long, running south to north across the city, on one of the four primary arteries of the city MBS UU

  8. Dedicated Route all along, except 8 traffic intersections MBS UU

  9. Elevated Portion Around 7 km is elevated, which is because of the constraints on widening the Road MBS UU

  17. ITS • There are 11 traffic signals on the route that is at grade • These signals are being upgraded to make these Intelligent, providing Bus priority and managing allied traffic as well. • Control Center is being set up MBS UU
