Păsările • Pentru a trăi,ele au toate nevoie să respire oxigenul din aer.Cea mai mare parte a păsărilor zboară.Pinguinii imperiali si struţii sunt incapabili de zbor.Maxilarele păsărilor nu au dinţi.Ele sunt acoperite de un cioc adesa foarte dur.Păsările se ocupă aproape întodeauna de puii lor: ele îi hrănesc, îi protejeaza. • De la vrabie la acvila, de la găina la tucan, există aproximativ 8600 de specii de păsări. Cea mai mare, struţul, poate atinge 150 kg. Se cunoaşte o specie de colibri care cântăreşte mai puţin de două grame.
