LONG TERM GOALS : • Execute and adopt 21st century skills of teaching, creating an innovative learning environment in the class. • Fostering critical thinking and collaboration in the classroom. • Facilitate student centered classrooms that encourage self direction and a higher order thinking. • Make learning conducive to the 21st century students.

  3. SHORT TERM GOALS : • Encourage students to participate in reading and vocabulary building competition. • Focus on writing different topics to enhance students creativity and writing skills. • Help students understand the different genres of writing.

INSTRUCTIONS AND TASKS : • Teacher will make sure she adopts the student centered approach of learning so that the students can participate in more group discussions and can share ideas and understand the topics easily. • Teacher will try that the students use a high level of vocabulary with confidence. • Teacher will promote the students to read short Urdu stories correctly and fluently with proper pronunciation. • Teacher will encourage the students and will try to provide them with choices in their work assignments.

CONTENT AND METHODOLOGY : • TEACHER WILL START THE LESSON BY ASKING THE DEFINITION OF SIFT THEN SHE WILL WRITE THE DEFINITION WITH EXAMPLES ON THE BOARD AND TELL STUDENTS TO COPY FROM THE BOARD. • IN SECOND PERIOD SHE WRITE SENTENCES ON THE BOARD AND THE STUDENTS WILL IDENTIFY SIFT AUR MOUSUF FROM THE SENTENCES.

  7. CLASS ASSIGMENT : • FIND OUT THE SIFT AUR MOUSUF FROM THE SENTENCES. • K2 IS THE FIRST LARGEST MOUNTAIN OF THE WORLD • AHMED IS THE CELEVEREST STUDENT IN THE CLASS • REEMA WENT TO THE BEAUTIFUL BEACH IN SINGAPORE. • ALAM CHANA WAS THE LONGEST MAN • MY MOTHER COOK DELICIOUS FOOD TODAY.

  8. HOME WORK : • WRITE FIVE SENTENCES DESCRIBING PENCIL IN WATER.

  10. 21st CENTURY APPROACHES USED : • PROBLEM 1; • There may be some students who may have trouble in answering the questions. • SOLUTION; • Such students will be given individual attention by the teacher, will be assisted by explaining them the topic again and given extra time to complete their work. • PROBLEM 2; • The Computer lab and audio visual room may not be available and there may be time constraint. • SOLUTION; • Individual attention will be given to slow learners along with after school extra learning classes.

  11. 21st CENTURY ACTIVITIES AND SKILLS : • ACTIVITIES; • Brainstorming with a web of all the important points can be drawn on the board, Group work, Pair work, Charts with relevant stories, Flash cards, Pictures relevant to the topic, Objects etc. • 21st CENTURY SKILLS; • Execution and adoption of new teaching and learning skills. • Creation of a student centered learning environment in the class. • Fostering of critical thinking and collaboration in the classroom. • Facilitation of a healthy learning environment that encourages self confidence, self direction and creativity.

  12. CONCLUSION : • By the implementation of the teachers newly acquired techniques and approaches, she can empower the students and they will be able to gain a better knowledge of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
