Enabling the Knowledge-Powered Enterprise: The ACTIVE Project Overview

The ACTIVE project, coordinated by BT, is focused on enhancing knowledge work through improved processes and effective knowledge sharing across Europe. From March 2008 to February 2011, this collaborative effort involved seven countries and twelve partners, exploring the interplay between informal and formal knowledge processes, the use of context for targeted information delivery, and the adoption of lightweight ontology editors. By integrating various components and fostering an environment for real-time collaboration, ACTIVE aims to transform how knowledge is shared and utilized in enterprises.
