PROGRESS: • appropriate model for WHP implementation • in companies (“Energia” Ltd), reported at Linz • WHP conference (June 2006) • WHP colloquies on WHP with heads of OHS PROBLEMS: • organizational culture of managers and staff • socio-economic – intercompany run up • debts, irregular payment of low level salaries, • difficulties in business environment – gray • economy • political will WHP AT COMPANY LEVEL

BULGARIA IN THE EUROPEAN UNION - Prognosis for WHP Progress • It is not possible to predict fast development in WHP • implementation and practice (problems with culture, • resources). • WHP large implementation will be a function of: • economic growth • EU influence on political, cultural and social development (democracy, partnership, CSR) • new style of education and training of young people • materials and MOGP availability, Social Marketing • identification, education, professional career and • activity support of leaders in WHP

  6. THE SUPPORTIVE EFFECT OF THE JOINT ENWHP ACTIVITIES IS A KEY FACTOR • Formative support and evaluation. • Political impetus – stakeholders collaboration • Sense of unity and use of EU MOGP • Credible and convincing social marketing
