Philippians 2:25-30 • But I considered it necessary to send you Epaphroditus—my brother, co-worker, and fellow soldier, as well as your messenger and minister to my need— • since he has been longing for all of you and was distressed because you heard that he was sick. • Indeed, he was so sick that he nearly died. However, God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, so that I would not have one grief on top of another.

  3. For this reason, I am very eager to send him so that you may rejoice when you see him again and I may be less anxious. • Therefore, welcome him in the Lord with all joy and hold men like him in honor, • because he came close to death for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up what was lacking in your ministry to me. • Holman Christian Standard Bible

  4. 3-Dimensional FellowshipFellowship Meets Three Needs • Accountability • Helping us keep our own commitments to God • Atmosphere: Trust and shared purpose • Community • Makes us feel like part of a big family, belonging • Atmosphere: Informal and caring • Electricity • Makes us feel the contagious excitement of being part of something significant & bigger than ourselves • Atmosphere: Dynamic and inspiring

Electricity • Worship Services or more so, Billy Graham • Community • Large Sunday School class or Department • Everybody knows your name and miss you if you are absent • They operate like a small country church • This results in additions • Accountability • Discipleship Groups • Having trained disciple makers results in multiplication • Sometimes our problem is that “we have been to church together, but we haven’t been to war together” – Bill Hull “Epaphroditus—my brother, co-worker, and fellow soldier” Philippians 2:25
