  2. Endeavour Opportunities for VET in 2009 • Endeavour VET Awards • Endeavour Executive Awards • Inaugural Endeavour VET Outbound Mobility Program

  3. Endeavour VET Awards (Incoming Only) • Address regional skills shortages • AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree • Any field of study • Valued at up to $119,500 over 2.5 years (2009 round) • Includes 6 months English language training if required

Endeavour Executive Awards Endeavour Executive Awards • For professionals in education, business or government • Establish ongoing linkages and networks • Valued at up to $AUD20,000 • One to four months duration • Design your own program • Share updated skills and knowledge with colleagues • Second round for 2009 opens 1 December 2008

Endeavour VET Outbound Mobility Program • 2009 Inaugural Round Endeavour Executive Awards • Covering the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions • Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Vocational Graduate Certificate and Vocational Graduate Diploma students only • Expression of Interest selection process • Between 10 and 15 projects, up to a value of $35,000 per project

  7. Aims of the Endeavour VET Outbound Mobility Program •  no. Australian VET students undertaking an international study opportunity (eg. work placement, internship or volunteer project in their industry sector) • Facilitate OM by  the level of partnership activity between Australia and international counterparts.

  8. Eligible Organisations • All Australian Registered Training Organisations (public and private) • Sector peak bodies • State government agencies involved in education and training • Not-for-profit organisations involved in education and training, including Industry Skills Councils

  9. Eligible Activities • Travel costs for students, administrators and trainers • Funding for staff replacement • Outbound mobility program development

  10. Selection Criteria Endeavour Executive Awards • How well the project matches the Program aims • Project outcomes • The amount and purpose of funding • The contribution of funding by the organisation

Endeavour Executive Awards • Financial contributions from other sources, e.g. industry sponsorships or student contributions • Sustainability measures • The rigorousness of the project plan, including milestones and timelines • Preparedness of the organisation to participate in evaluation
