  3. 2008-09 Funding Amounts • $45 Million for year 3 • Divided among continuing and new grantees • Year 4 funding

  4. Requirements • CFF Handbook • Full participation in program • Administrators kick off October 14 • Teacher open box or out of the box training • Participation in evaluation data collection • 30 hours PD per year

  5. Professional Development Continuing • 21st Century Teaching and Learning courses (30 hours each year) • The Need for Change (new 2008 teachers) • Coach Training • Coach boot camp October 14-17 • Vendor training 8 days • On-going training opportunities

Year 3 Funding • Grant funding for: • “smart” classrooms and teacher stations • student laptops • $250 per classroom for technical support (new classrooms only) • $6000 infrastructure (new schools only) • 3 still and 5 video cameras per building • Additional funding for coach salary • $30,000 per building (not budgeted in eGrants)

CFF Grant Completion Timeline • Grant revisions are due to PDE by August 31, 2008 • Aim to submit earlier to ensure it is correct • DO NOT submit Purchase orders for grant money until you receive a “substantially approved” letter • Purchase orders due September 30, 2008 • Completed grants received by the deadline should be paid by the middle of October • Money will be wired in a lump sum from the comptroller’s office

  10. Funding Parameters • Grant award amount for: • Equipment from the RFP • Up to $6000 for infrastructure (wireless, electricity, cable channels, servers, hubs, switches). • Up to $250 per NEW classroom for tech support (installation of projector mounts, etc.)

Funding Parameters -2 • Grants funds may only be used to purchase specified contract equipment. • Additional or alternative equipment may be purchased with district money. • Pricing between the 2 vendors may not be mixed. Apple purchases order Apple classroom equipment (same for CDW-G). • Submit Site Readiness Checklist (SRC) to CDW-G or Apple prior to submitting purchase order.

Equipment Purchases • Equipment must be purchased from state contract with grant money • Macintosh: http://web.mac.com/applecff • PC: http://www.cdwg.com/PAClassroomsforthefuture • No substitutions with grant money • Each classroom full solution (Mac, PC) • Options on pricelists are not permitted with grant money (memory, batteries).

  17. eGrant Support, Continued • Complete the web form and then click the send the support request button. • Your question will be answered by the eGrants helpdesk. • Please be specific with your questions.
