  2. All About Element Iron Name of Element: Iron or called Ferrum(FE) Atomic number: 26 Melting point: 1538°C or 2800°F Boiling Point: 2861°C or 5182°F

  3. Facts About Iron • It is a metal. • Discovered in 400 B.C. • It is discovered by the Egyptians. • It is one of the oldest element to be found. • It is also called Ferrum which means Iron in Latin. • Its symbol in the Periodic Table is “Fe”.

  4. Brief Description of Iron The element Iron is one of the oldest element to be found in the Earth’s crust. Scientists found that iron is also found on the sun and on the stars. Most Iron are found in India. Iron is hard brittle and fusible. Most iron has a color of silver. It is the most powerful of all metals, yet cheap. Iron is non toxic. It carries oxygen in it. Iron is the fourth most abundant element in the Earth.

  7. Effects on Environments To Humans: • Lung Cancer because of the things we eat that has iron in it that may remain in our tissues. • We can get infection from dirty Iron. To our Environments (Animals & Plants): • 50% of animals die because of exposure by Irons. • If irons are boiled, it may cause bad health to the things around us like plants, animals and us because we take in the air.

  8. Uses of Iron 3 uses of Iron: • Iron is used for making steel • Iron is used for making vehicles • Iron is used for making furniture.

  9. Interesting Facts About Iron • Iron is the 6th most abundant element in the universe! And 4th most abundant element in the Earth! • Iron has been in the earth since 4000 B.C. ago!! The ancients found out about Iron. • Iron is the most used among all other metals.
