  11. Possibly in the 50’s the reason women had there hair so well cared is because back then women weren’t aloud to work so they had a lot of time on hand. They might’ve spent a lot of their time perfecting their looks. Cause and effect in the 50’s and 60’s 60’s hairstyles were a lot like the 50’s so it may have the same reasoning. Back

  15. Historical hairstyles Egypt: In Egypt, women and men clipped their hair close to their heads. On special occasions curly wigs warn. The men often wore false beard and the women wore long, black wigs. These wigs were normally braded with gold ornaments and ivory clips. China: Unmarried Chinese girls hair was usually worn long and braided whilst women combed the hair back from the face and wound into a knot at the nape.  The Manchu regime of the time dictated that men shaved the front of the head and wore the back hair long and braided, tied with black silk. The EastThe Muslim’s the hair was traditionally hidden in public.  Men wore a turban or fez and women’s hair was hidden under the traditional veil.  Both men and women visited the local public baths for grooming where the mans head and face were shaved and long hair omens was given a henna rinse.
