  2. What is net neutrality? Net neutrality is the equal treatment of all content on an end-to-end neutral Internet. Who is for net neutrality? Who is against it? Application providers (companies like Google) are the main proponents of net neutrality. Telecommunications and cable companies, those who have invested in the infrastructure of the Internet, are against net neutrality

  3. Proponents of net neutrality are creating a problem in search of a solution. Those who want a neutral Internet warn that ISPs will “block” some companies from using their bandwidth. This would not make economic sense for telecommunications and cable companies. Let FCC regulate such actions (if they even happen).

  4. The current model is best for the growth of the Internet. The competition that already exists is best for the changing Internet and for consumers – as technology progresses, companies will be able to make investments from the returns on their infrastructure to provide innovative services to customers for lower prices.

  5. Shouldn’t companies like Google have to pay for the large amount of bandwidth they use? Telecommunications and cable companies have invested billions in infrastructure – infrastructure that start-ups have been using at no cost. “Royalties” aren’t being paid.
