  3. Introduction • Last lesson • Internet shopping is growing • However, it is still a long way away from forcing High Street shops to close. • There are Advantages and Disadvantages of Internet Shopping

Advantages: Quick and easy Good for people who are unable to leave their homes due to illness etc Maybe cheaper than going to the shops (parking costs etc) Easier to shop around between internet sites Disadvantages Could lose money if Company does not really exist No guarantee you will get what you ordered Item may look different when it arrives You may not be able to talk to anyone if you have a problem Internet Shopping

  5. Online Retail Outlet • Your task: • To create an online retail store selling a product of your choice. • Add text and pictures. • Example….

  6. Homework • Write an essay explaining the advantages of new on-line services and their likely impact on the traditional high street.

  7. Essay Plan • You have time now to decide how you would plan your essay. • Remember, a good essay will have paragraphs and be organised: • Introduction • Main points • Conclusion that answers the question.
