  4. Monitor & Manage Your Cal Grant Report Graduation Date, Change School, Update Personal Information https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov

  5. The basics offinancial aid Grants are money you don’t have to pay back and are typically based on financial need. Scholarships are also free money for college and are based on your area of study or on merit, such as good grades, special talents or community service. Work-studyor student employment programs let you earn money for college in a job on or off campus. Loansare borrowed money that you must repay with interest. If you do need to borrow, there are federal loans that offer low interest rates and other benefits.

New Financial Aid applicants will receive:Shopping Sheet in MyCSUEB, View Financial Aid, Aid Year 2015 Example of Budgeting Cost of Attendance per year $22,830 Estimated Financial Aid $12,675 (based on FAFSA data) How to pay for Net Costs $10,155 Options: • Federal Work Study $2,400 • Student Loans $5,500 • Parent PLUS Loan $2,255 $0

PLUS Loan for Parents After July 1, 2014 parents receive email instructions • Parent logs on Federal Student Loans https://StudentLoans.govwith FAFSA PIN • Apply for the PLUS Loan & sign a PLUS Master Promissory Note The Financial Aid Office will set Parent PLUS Loan to ACCEPTED status when Financial Aid Award is ready to accept and Federal Student Aid notifies us that loan was approved/promissory note signed.

  8. New Financial Aid applicants should receive:ESTIMATED AWARD by US MAIL & in MyCSUEB, View Financial Aid, Aid Year 2015 NO NEED TO ACCEPT/DECLINE ESTIMATES !

  9. Middle Class Scholarships will be added to MyCSUEB awards closer to Fall 14.

  10. Check your MyCSUEBTO DO list form status X X X Submit all required 14/15 Financial Aid forms. After ALL 14/15 Financial Aid documents drop off your To Do list, your file is ready to display a non-estimated award. DUE DATE is not deadline/does not function = day after we listed form
