Rules and Eligibility • All PES Chapters are eligible for the Web site contest • To participate send an email message to: • Awards Committee Chair • Membership and Chapters Activities Vice President • Regional and Chapter Representative • The Email shall include: • The URL of the Chapter Web site • The name of the Chapter • The IEEE Region the Chapter is in • The email address of the Web site contact or administrator • Chapter Chair name and email address

  3. Awards • First place - US $1,000.00 • Second place - US $ 500.00 • Third place - US $ 250.00

  4. Contest Datelines • Chapters shall submit their URL’s no later than March 1st to the Awards Committee Chair. • Winners will be announced by March 15th. • During the period of judging, March 1st through March 15th no changes in the design or content of the participating pages will be permitted.

  5. Judging Criteria • Content: 0 - 30 points • Web sites should have: • Local Contact Information for Chapter Officers • Site Administrator • Date information • Current, past and future activities • information on other IEEE units of the section the chapter belongs to • application information • other information relevant to a chapter member

  6. Judging Criteria • Navigability 0 – 25 points • No "under construction" links • logical structure of the Web site • Keywords used for hyperlinks • Site maps, navigation bars, search engines, etc. • Originality 0 – 15 points • content presented • presentation of the content

  7. Judging Criteria • Overall Presentation 0 – 15 points • Use of good presentation elements • Graphics • Background • scripts, video, audio, and other multimedia elements • Portability 0 – 10 points • portable across different browsers • resizing the screen

  8. Judging Criteria • Load Time 0 – 5 points • server reachable • Total points = 100
