Key Facts About Nex-Tech Wireless Nex-Tech Wireless, L.L.C was formed as a joint venture by three local Kansas telephone companies: Golden Belt Telephone, Rural Telephone and Mutual Telephone in the Spring of 2004. In the Fall of 2004 we hired our first two employees, a Network Manager and a Cell Site Supervisor who set out to build a wireless network from the ground up, more than 25 years after the first commercially viable wireless network was established in North America. CDMA was the technology of choice with a fully integrated 1XRTT data network. By the Fall of 2005 we launched our commercial service with 87 Cell Sites and 38 employees. 18 months later we have doubled the number of Cell Sites and Employees.

  4. Where do we go from here? Services we currently offer are CDMA Voice, Brew, SMS, MMS, 2G 1XRTT, I-Voice (text to speech email service) and Prepaid voice and data services. To date, Nex-Tech Wireless has more than a 10% penetration rate after 18 months on the air and this number continues to grow daily. EV-DO Rev.A will be launched foot print wide by 3Q of 2007. Additional cell site expansion to exceed more than 25% of current foot print. We continue to encourage the expansion of our Voice and MDR roaming partners.

Local experienced Customer Service center, who understand and live in the footprint we cover. Nex-Tech wireless has employed more than 60 High Technology jobs to Central and Western Kansas which contributes more than $3 million in annual payroll locally.
