  1. Video card Ethernet USB From back of computer, remove screws holding right side of case Take off case wall by pulling back, then away from case • Remove accessory cards • Take out screws for video, ethernet and USB cards • Pull cards out of slots

  2. Remove power cables • Pry up tab on side • Pull straight up on ends • Remove floppy disk cables • Pull up on both ends of black • connector

  3. Take out all 9 screws holding motherboard in case Lift out motherboard • Remove memory board • Push down on both white • tabs simultaneously, and the • board will pop out

  4. Remove 4 screws from CPU cooling fan Remove fan • Remove silver cooling fins • Push down on latch and pry out • Pull off fins

  5. Pull off cooling fins (may require some force to break the glue) Pull up silver bar (break sticker if necessary) Lift out CPU chip

  6. Remove battery • Push silver latch, battery will pop out • Measure voltage of battery • Reassemble computer: • Replace battery • Insert CPU, lower bar • Put cooling fins on CPU, • reattach latch • - Replace cooling fan and screws • Insert memory board • Place motherboard in case, • attach with all 9 screws • Attach power and floppy drive cables • Insert video, ethernet, USB cards
