Research Teaching Linkages: Enhancing Graduate Attributes • Part of a larger University wide Enhancement Theme programme • Enhancement themes part of QEF (Quality Enhancement Framework) • QEF is co-ordinated by quality working group which includes members from QAA Scotland (Quality Assurance Agency), SFC (Scottish Funding Council) and others • Looking at link between research teaching with aim to enhance graduate attributes and improve student experience • Institutional level • Discipline level

  4. Discipline project Focus on Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine Aim: To identify, share and build on good and innovative practice in utilising research-teaching linkages to enhance the achievement of graduate attributes

Symposium Aim • To discuss and share good practice Themes • Understanding high level graduate attributes and how best to support/promote the achievement of such attributes • Sharing of approaches to making best use of research/professional practices which enhance the achievement of such attributes • Consideration of how best to develop a learning environment that envelops research activities as part of the learning experience
