  3. Governance • The process and manner by which authority and power are utilized to direct and control the activities of an organization.

  4. Involvement • The entanglements by individuals and groups in the workings of an organization or one or more of its component parts.

  5. Operations (Day to Day) • The ongoing, periodic activities, processes, and normative activities of an organization.

  6. Policy • The guiding, governing and managing statements of principle established by the constituted authority to direct the organization.

  7. Leadership • “A dynamic process in which woman and men with God-given capacity influence others to accomplish the purposes of the organization.” • Robert Clinton • The Making of a Leader

  8. Management • “Working with and through individuals and groups to accomplish organizational goals.” • Hersey/Blanchard • Management of Organizational Behavior

  9. Qualifications • A defined set of attributes, which have been selected by an organization as a threshold for each of the various positions, needed to fulfill the goals of the organization.

  10. Evaluation • The process of assessment, usually including summary conclusions, of individual or group performance on the component tasks which have been assigned within the organization.

  11. Purpose • The reason that the organization exists.

  12. Decision Making • The rendering of a judgment, drawing of a conclusion, the making up of one’s mind, or settling on a course of action within the scope of individual or corporate responsibility.
