SERVICE SUPPORT (Spanish Branch) Key word = Fuka Mura REASON SAMPLE White area change into of gray back ground produce un evengray Thermal head (internal constructions) + voltage input data Comun ground virtual resistor • The comun cable, which goes to the comun ground, it is not a perfect conductor, it has a small resistence less than 1 Ω, it is represented above, like a virtual resistor. • Therfore a big current will produce a big DDC to the virtual resistor. • The voltage adjusment is fixed, then when the current is lower due to a bigger are white then virtual resistor will has low voltage in betwem, • when the current is bigger due to gray back ground therfore the voltage in the virtual resistor will be bigger, it means that, for the same voltage input, the total current will be different betwen, gray and white area,. • therfore this difference is different gray value betwen. • all thermal head area making gray or half thermal head making gray. • Look at the attache photo MEUSP CONFIDENTIAL

Key word = Okuri Mura (Banding) sample REASON Printer direction • When the paper running or the Ink Shent running they don´t have even moviment • Then in both cases appear banding efect, • Check the publicated technical note for details • On the another hand when the platter roller , or any related roller, they have some defect , appear banding. • Gears, torke limiter, ink motor or paper motor can produce bading too if some one has some defect MEUSP CONFIDENTIAL

  9. Key Word = Suji Mura (wide line or stripe pattern in general concept) • Wide line or stripe pattern of printintg density in the paper feeding direction • Any density problem due to paper, ink or themal head missalignment which still is not recognized the reason Printing MEUSP CONFIDENTIAL

Key Word = Sticking Strong noise The efect can appear in the following cases • High room temperature and dark image printing continusly • Due to Ink sheet characterics • Wrong thermal head alignment • Too high voltage voltage for thermal head • In this condition appear sticking • It means that is difficutl remove the paper from the ink sheet MEUSP CONFIDENTIAL

  13. Key word = Niji Mura (Rainbow Stripe) sample REASON • The enviroment light is reflected on the photo mainly with very dark areas it. • It appear due to Over Coat protection where the light is reflected and appearing Nijin Moura (rain Bow), mainly with very dark images MEUSP CONFIDENTIAL

  18. Key Word = Tofu mura ( Un uniformity of ink) Sample-1 REASON This uniformity is caused by the ink sheet with un-uniformity of printed ink on inksheet firm. Sample-2 MEUSP CONFIDENTIAL
