Tacon is a tablet PC-based tool designed to enhance the teaching of concurrent programming. It addresses the challenges of teaching concurrency, such as non-determinism and multi-thread interactions that can confuse students. This tool enables teachers to use pen-based interfaces to create simulations naturally during class. Instructors can easily turn their sketches into dynamic simulations, generating thread diagrams and runtime simulations with annotation marks. Tacon promotes an interactive learning environment by capturing the ephemeral knowledge shared by instructors.
