This retrospective clinical trial evaluates the efficacy of an antibiotic protocol in treating patients with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). Over a treatment duration of 2-4 months, 22 patients were assessed on their perceived outcomes. Results indicate significant variances in pain and fatigue levels, with some experiencing a 20-100% reduction in pain and 25-50% reduction in fatigue. However, 1 of the 2 "No Effect" patients completed the 4-month therapy, while most reported increased discomfort. These findings highlight variability in patient responses to antibiotic treatment in RSD cases.

Clinical Experience With Antibiotic Protocol & RSD • N=22 • Duration of treatment: 2-4 months • Retrospective, open label, clinical trial • Responses are based on patient perceived outcomes
A.P. Lab Results In RSD Patients* Number of patients *12 patients had more then one abnormality
Exacerbations of Pain & FatigueAt 1-4 Months Of Treatment Number of patients *Increase in pain by 20-80% **Increase in fatigue by 20-30 %
Decrease In Pain, Fatigue & Dystrophic Findings (At 2-4 Months Of Treatment) Number of patients *Dec. Pain at 20-100% **Dec. Fatigue at 25-50% ***Dec. Dystrophy at 25-75% Note: Only 1 of 2 of the “No effect” patients has completed 4 months of A.P. therapy. All “No Effect” patients continue to report increased pain or fatigue from treatment.
Conclusions • Antibiotic protocol can offer substantial improvement in at least some patients with RSD. • It remains speculation as to which RSD cases will respond to A.P.
