  3. Introduction: • Chilion: pining, destruction, consumption, failing • Naomi: pleasant, my delight • Orpah: stiff-necked • Ruth: friend

  4. A Place of Lies. • 1Ti 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

  5. A Place of Lies. • Plenty of bread. • Plenty of opportunity. • Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Place of Idolatry. • 1Co 10:19-21 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? 20) But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. 21) Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

  8. A Place of Robbery. • Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

  9. A Place of Robbery. • Robbing peace. • Robbing family.

  10. A Place of Hunger. • Hungry for food. • Hungry for home. • Hungry for righteousness.
