EX1 :- Compute the area of the Fora Level - section if you know the following data :- 1- Elevation of grade line = 32 m 2- Elevation of ground line = 30 m 3- Side slop = 1: 3 4- Road width = 10 m d = 30 -32 = -2 b=10 C إذن المقطع هو مقطع ردم وعمق الردم 2m = 32 A = d ( b + S.d ) 1 d 3 A = 2( 10 + 3×2 ) = 32 m² 30

EX2 :- Compute the area of the Fora three Level - section if you know the following data :- 1- Center Depth ( d ) = 4 m 2- Right Depth ( dR ) = 6 m 3- Left Depth ( dL ) = 10 m 4- Road width = 12 m 5- Right Dis. ( XR ) = -18 m 6- Left Dis. ( XL ) = 26 m A = 0.5 [b/2 ( dR + dL ) + d(XR + XL ) ] A = 0.5 [12/2 ( 6 + 10 ) + 4 ( 18 + 26 )] = 136 m²
