Learn German and Go on Holiday at the Same Time For several years, and, on the advice of a friend, I took part in a German course which was a very pleasant and helpful. Nice because it was done in a very beautiful place and very helpful because I could improve my knowledge of German at an institute that teaches for foreigners. Germany is a small and very beautiful city especially in summer. Clean and tidy as all German cities. Its buildings are a combination of modern architecture and traditional German houses. Is on the shores of Lake Constance, in which one can bathe, swim and take boat rides. There are many guest houses and the waterfront promenade is made up of beautiful parks where you can walk, breathe fresh air and sit on benches to see the lake, sailing boats and visitors who bathe in it. Also you can find in this peaceful city, good restaurants, shopping stores, nightclubs and theaters. They are also some places named Kurorte, which are equipped with pool facilities, restrooms, gym and massage, where you can relax and take care for your health. Institute also offers hosting service with breakfast and half board, which is dinner.
This service is offered in German family homes or hotels, where the family house will be recommended because you can make friends with the owners and also practice German with them. I really had to stay at a German family home and the hosts were a German couple, very friendly and nice, gastfreundlich, it is said in German. In the same house they were staying, too, a Belgian and an Italian, and the hosts always worried because we are comfortable. During breakfast we talked with and even a summer night we were invited to a barbecue of sausages they did in their garden and in which there was no shortage of good German beer and wine typical of that region. Classes at the Institute were usually in the mornings. Lasted about four hours and the students was composed mostly of Italians, French, Swiss, English and a couple of Latin Americans, among whom was me. We have learned grammar and vocabulary. They also taught us some traditional songs in German, they have many-and we sang in class. We have practiced conversation during the break and after school when we met for lunch, the movies or went for a walk around the town. Thus, after four weeks of classes, I increased my language skills and won fluency when talking. A couple of years ago I received by mail a printed brochure in which I was invited to participate again in a German course and gave me a great pleasure that they still remembered me and consider me for this. Just as this Institute there are many with similar characteristics in Germany and where you can experience the same experiences that I lived.
