  2. How to Get There • Icon in your Novell Applications box if you’re on the District’s server • Or www.scdiscus.org • At school, you are automatically logged in • Anywhere else, you will need a login and password which you can get from your media specialist • Click on the DISCUS Kids tab

  3. What’s What? • Articles from popular KIDS magazines use: • Kids Info Bits: all reading levels • SIRS Discover: all reading levels (generally 400+ Lexile) • Junior Edition: harder reading level

  4. What’s What? • Articles from popular “ADULT” magazines and newspapers use: • Junior Edition: harder reading level

  5. What’s What? • For encyclopedia articles use: • Kids Info Bits: all reading levels • Britannica Elementary: harder reading level (4th+) • Biography Resource Center: harder reading level (5+) • Junior Edition: harder reading level

  6. What’s What? • For beginning readers use: • Britannica Learning Zone: (K-1)

  7. Go here to sort by reading level Click the tab to see different types of references on the topic Shows the reading level, these are all “easy”
