In this engaging activity, students will learn to describe common objects based on the materials they are made of, focusing on their physical properties. Using their senses, they will classify items like buttons and cloth swatches by attributes such as color, size, shape, weight, texture, buoyancy, and flexibility. Activities will include sorting various materials by sight and touch, as well as a fun experiment with sinking and floating objects in water, fostering discussion about why certain items exhibit these behaviors.
