  3. Who was Perseus? • Son of Zeus and Danae • Perseus’ Grandfather, Acrisius, was told he would kill him • Arcisius cast Perseus and Danae into the sea • Rescued and raised by Dictys

  4. Perseus Fights the Gorgon • Perseus’ mother is planning to marry Polydectes - Perseus doesn’t like Polydectes • Polydectes wants the head of Medusa as a wedding gift! • Athena helps him figure out how to kill Medusa. • Perseus sneaks into her den, and cuts off Medusa’s head!
