  5. The launch • July 16, 1969 • Many practice launches had gone successful • Launched from the Kennedy Space Center

  6. Orbit of Apollo 11 • Went into orbit 76 hours after launch • Armstrong and Aldrin rested • 100 hours in the 2 spacecrafts undocked
