  3. Purpose of Textbooks in Classroom Pros • Textbooks are intended to be a resource for teachers and students • Provided guidance and use materials that will align with curriculum standards. Cons • Many school districts are only able to supply us with books (typically every 5 to 7 years for adoption) • Technology is advancing so much (at a rate of change of 6 months)
