  3. This is important because… • This information will help you determine what kind of assessments you want to use in class. Also, you will have a better understanding the limitations of each.

  4. Objective • To know about different assessments, including how to use them and what their limitations are.

  7. Checking for understanding • What type of assessment happens repeatedly through a course? • What assessment is used to ensure that the aims of the course have been met? • What type of assessment occurs in casual manner? • What type of assessment is also referred to as standardized measure?
