Tactics and Strategies • Passing when double teamed • Running ahead to receive the ball • Jumping before the goal line semi-circle • Passing multiple times to confuse the defense • Running zone type plays within a game • Identify opportunities to participate successfully • Working well with others in a group • Demonstrate willingness to participate in the lesson • Communicate with others in the group

  6. Skills needed to play team Handball • Passing- Chest pass, overhead (using both hands). Passing while standing, running, jumping. • Finding open space (spatial awareness)- Boundaries, reading offensive and defensive players, reading player movement patterns. • Receiving- Pass type, amount of force, eye contact with the ball, communication with passer. • Feints- Eye feints, passing feints, shooting feints, leg and body feints. • Group dynamics-communication, eye contact, movement around the court, and motivating others

Rules • Must stay within the boundaries • Must shoot from behind the semi-circle • No contact is allowed • Everyone must rotate between offense and defense • Everyone must touch the ball before scoring • Everyone must encourage others • Everyone in the group must maintain a positive attitude and the willingness to participate
