  2. Online Banking & Bill Pay Online Banking gives you access to your account(s). Online Bill Pay allows you to pay bills online.

  3. What Is Possible • Manage your money by transferring funds to different accounts (i.e. checking to savings). • Track debit card transactions • Track checks clearing your account. • Pay bills directly from your account.

  4. Save Time & Money • Make a onetime payment or set up automatic electronic payments to a certain day each month. (Bill Pay) • Available 24 hours so no need to work around your bank’s branch hours. (Online Banking & Bill Pay) • No need to order checks or purchase stamps. (Bill Pay) • View current and past bank statements. (Online Banking)

  5. Signing Up Generally you can enroll for online banking at your bank’s website or visit your local branch and they can assist you in the process.

  6. Online Bill Pay Pay bills from your bank’s website. OR Pay a bill from the website of the company you are paying.

  7. Differences What are the differences between online banking bill pay and paying a bill on the website of the company you owe? • Online banking bill pay is where you link your bills directly to your bank account and pay multiple bills from your bank’s website. • The alternative is to go directly to the company’s website and log in it to pay (i.e. Direct TV or Verizon Wireless).

  8. Cost Some banks charge a fee for online access. Some banks charge a fee for online bill pay. Just a few companies charge a fee to pay your bill online.

Security • NEVER tell anyone your online banking password. • NEVER follow a link to a bank website. • ALWAYS check the url to make sure you are on the correct website. • Whether the computer is at home or a public computer be sure to log out of the bank website when you are not with the computer.
