Considerations • Is your student ready for high school level coursework? • Algebra 1 is the foundation for all other high school math courses. • Strong mastery of Algebra 1 is key for success in upper level math courses. • Is building in a designated time for AP Statistics important for your student? • If Algebra 1 is taken during 7th grade, only one semester of ACE math (Trigonometry ACE) is taken during the 10th grade year. • It is not recommended that AP Statistics be taken concurrently with either AP Calculus AB or BC ACE.
