  3. Partnership History • Sought large, comprehensive, public high schools • Strong leadership • Innovation around reform issues at school and district levels • Collaborated with Aspire to charter East Palo Alto High School • Founded Stanford Schools Corporation & expanded to K-12, other charters

  7. Challenges of Schools as Clinics Model • Loose & shifting affiliation with university • Limited involvement of university faculty at school sites • Funding structures • External pressures (testing, funding, policy) • Mandated curricula
