  1. Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery Thyroidectomy is the removal of all or part of your thyroid gland. Your thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of your neck. It produces hormones that regulate every aspect of your metabolism, from your heart rate to how quickly you burn calories.

Surgery of Sleep Apnoea and Snoring Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a syndrome characterized by periods of cessation of breathing (apnoea) or decreases in airflow during sleep (hypopnoea) that occur during sleep.  The syndrome is defined by an apnea-hypopnea index (the number of apnoeas plus hypopneas divided by the number of hours asleep).  The number is 5 or higher in association with excessive daytime sleepiness.
