Introduction of Formosa - Mitsubishi pilot project Actual Transaction Profile Buyer/importer : 3 power plants, subsidiary companies of Formosa Plastics Group Seller/exporter : Mitsubishi Corporation Commodity : consumable parts for power plant Number of shipment : 10-20 times per month Technical Features - 1st trial of cross boarder transaction between Taiwan and Japan - Documents to be digitalized: Purchase Order/Proforma Invoice/Commercial Invoice - Implement ebXMLMS V2.0 for messaging protocol - Implement PAA(Pan Asian e-commerce Alliance) format as standard document format - the paperless “purchase order” to overseas suppliers is ready. - Formosa Plastics Group have a plan to integrate the seamless customs declaration

  3. Project milestone Dec.2002: Users’ meetingFormosa and Mitsubishi mutually agreed pilot execution. Jan.-Mar.2003: Development of system environment- Mapping specification for 3 documents was fixed. (Purchase Order/Proforma Invoice /Invoice) - Gateway server was set up each side with ebXMLMS V2.0.- System connectivity test (between TRADE-VAN and TEDI) was over. Apr. 2003-: Pilot will be launched and will be continued until the end of May. 2003 [In pilot phase, existing paper-base job is carried out in parallel] Jun. 2003: Review meeting by users
