Guidelines for Legal Use of Japanese Images in Academia

Co-chaired by Professor Robin Le Blanc from Washington & Lee University, this task force aims to develop basic guidelines for faculty and students regarding the legal use of Japanese images in academic writing and teaching. The members include a diverse group of faculty, librarians, intellectual property experts, image producers, and publishing representatives from both the US and Japan. Notable members include professors from Harvard and the University of Washington, along with curators and advisers experienced in Japanese studies and library science.
