  2. HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME • Divide the class into two teams, one team is the ‘noughts’ and the other is the ‘crosses’. The aim of the game is to get a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line of ‘0s’ or ‘Xs’ by answering the questions correctly. • The ‘noughts’ team starts by choosing a grammatical category, e.g. ‘opposites’ or ‘Past Simple’. The teacher clicks one of the five links in each box in the grid. A page opens with five or six questions. • The students in the ‘noughts’ team must now choose the correct question for that category and answer it correctly to score a ‘O’. For example, for ‘OPPOSITES’ the first question is correct: ‘What’s the opposite of ‘wide’? • If the ‘noughts’ team gets the wrong answer, the ‘crosses’ team can either choose the same question or another category. • The first team to get either a diagonal, horizontal or vertical line is the winner.
