PRR 548 Update • PRR 548 approved in February – Effective upon system implementation • Note – No project has been started for implementation at this time • No changes to Market Operations • Mismatch notices will continue • Three Scenarios discussed • Mismatch due to no counter-party • Mismatch due to different zones submitted by QSEs • Mismatch due to scheduling different amounts between counter-parties in the same zone • Only Scenario 3 is affected by PRR 548

  3. Settlement changes • Current – Mismatched schedules settled at MCPE with ERCOT • PRR 548 – Only the portion of the schedule which exceeds the corresponding Inter-QSE energy schedule at MCPE • Request from COPS – Both QSEs involved in the mismatch need to receive information on mismatch quantities to facilitate bilateral reconciliation of mismatches

Issue with providing Delta Information cut: • Per Protocol section 1.3.1 • 1.3.1 Restrictions on Protected Information • This Section 1.3 shall apply to Protected Information disclosed by a Market Participant to ERCOT or by ERCOT to a Market Participant. ERCOT or any Market Participant (“Receiving Party”) may not Disclose Protected Information received from the other (“Disclosing Party”) to any person, corporation, or any other Entity except as specifically permitted in this Section and in these Protocols. Receiving Party may not use Protected Information except as necessary or appropriate in carrying out responsibilities under these Protocols. To “Disclose” means to, directly or indirectly, disclose, reveal, distribute, report, publish, or transfer Protected Information to any party other than to the Disclosing Party which provided the Protected Information. • Per Protocol section 1.3.1.1 (5) • Energy and Ancillary Service Schedules identifiable to a specific QSE; • Disclosing the Delta cut to the counter-party reveals the schedule of another QSE. • Solution – Change to 4.7.2 (2) (C) of the Protocols to allow ERCOT to disclose mismatched schedule adjustments to QSE and Counterparty
