  1. Boss & Hughes Complete Guide to PPE Personal Protective Equipment, or PPE, is a collective term used to refer to specially designed equipment which offers protection to a user from inescapable hazards and risks in their workplace or surroundings. PPE is often a last-resort control measure and appropriate where the hazard cannot be removed.
