  1. The power of computing has evolved over the years. With increasing demand for computing power and space in data centers, server rack is used to accomplish high density. The efficient use of data center racks can help in consolidation of different network equipment in seamless, safe and efficient manner. There are different types of data center server racks integration to choose from, but which one is apt for you? Basically, server rack is a framework used for accommodating data center IT equipment’s like server, HUB, storage and network switches. It is such designed that it helps enhance the efficiency of data center network management and operation. Data center open server rack comprises of mounting rails without doors, which is an open air structure for resting the network equipment. These are usually used for server rooms

  2. that do not need any physical security and do not need the extra airflow control. An open frame rack cabinet provides you easy access and gives you enough open space for cable management, thus making the solution ideal for network wiring closets and distribution frame applications with high- density cabling. Usually there are two basic types of server racks including the 2-post and 4-post rack. Server cabinet comes with front/rear doors, side panels along with four adjustable vertical mounting rails. As the doors and side panels can be locked, server cabinet provides the security of physical equipment at the rack level. A data center server rack cabinet, undoubtedly, has much less access to the outside air. Therefore, it will require some kind of venting for air cooling. It is basically designed to be attached to the wall, so as to save the floor space and fit in portions where other racks are unable to fit. It usually comes in cabinet style, and is mostly used for housing network equipment like the fiber patch panels and switches.

  3. You must choose the data center server rack such that it fits the dimension of equipment. Though 19-inch racks are always the same but width, height and depth might vary. Commonly used rack has the height of around 1.75 inches. For a flexible and manageable cabling environment, usable space must be left in the rack sufficient cabinet after the installation of devices. Moreover, there are some data center server racks that even have wheels in case if there is any requirement of moving the racks. Since there are many devices added to the data center, the network racks should have sufficient weight capacity. The number of cables, switches, and overhead cable mounts should all be taken into account when selecting a rack. But selecting a strong rack is of utmost importance.

  4. Data center cooling is very important and this is why cooling cost of data center is continuously increasing nowadays. Proper data center server racks account for cooling efficiency. Here, racks that come with airflow management accessories can prove to be a good choice. Other accessories like the door of racks can also influence the cooling efficiency. When you are designing a data center, deciding the right server rack integration should be at the top of your list. No matter what rack integration you choose, it is very much significant to maintain network security and proper cable management to make an organized system. And this is the reason, rack mounted servers continue to be the most cost-effective computer network option for all small to medium sized operations
