  4. Applicability • Eligible Professionals (EP) • Eligible Hospitals • Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) Drug-Drug & Drug Allergy Checks

  5. Training Objectives • Implement drug-drug and drug-allergy checks. • Run allergy cleanup utility. • Set allergy package parameters in RPMS & EHR. • Set up a sign/symptom named ‘Unknown’ in Adverse Reaction Tracking package. • Enable & configure order checks. • Review order checks in EHR.

  7. Threshold The provider has enabled drug-drug and drug-allergy checks for the entire EHR reporting period. Drug-Drug & Drug Allergy Checks

  8. RPMS Reporting Logic Measure Inclusions: COUNT: eligible providers WHO: have enabled both the drug-drug and drug-allergy checks during the entire EHR reporting period. The report will display “Yes” if the checks are turned on, or “No” if they are turned off. Drug-Drug & Drug Allergy Checks

Configure RPMS During our how-to session we will: • Enable Order Checks. • Configure the nine required Order Checks. • Mark the Order Checks as Mandatory. • Set the Allergy Package parameters. • Set the allergy parameters in EHR. • Run the Allergy Cleanup Utility. Evidence of Functionality During our how-to session we will: • In EHR, select Options on the Tools menu. • Select the Order Checks tab on the Options dialog. • Scroll through the Order Checks to verify that the nine Order Checks are: • Selected • Marked as Mandatory in the Comment column Drug-Drug & Drug Allergy Checks
