  1. Mr. Carbajal’s Class Rules Fall Semester 2011

  2. 1. Everyone deserves respect. • I expect to be addressed as Mr. Carbajal • I expect you to answer me with “yes sir” or “no sir”. I will refer to you by your name or preferred nickname. Treat others how you expect to be treated.

  3. 2. Respect all people’s property. • Treat other people’s belongings how you would expect them to treat yours. • Please do not write on the classroom smartboard unless told to do so. Writing on it will ruin it! =( • Please do not write on any desks or walls. • Please do NOT mistreat the calculators or you may end up doing all work without one!

  4. 3. Come to class prepared • Bring pencil and paper to class. • You should have either a folder with prongs or a three-ring binder. • Please do not put make-up on in the classroom while we are working. • Be ready to work, learn and have fun!

  5. 4. Bring your math book to each class! • You will lose class points each time you forget to bring your book to class. • You will face other consequences (to be determined) should it become a habit.

  6. 5. Be in your seat before the bell rings. • Standing around my class door before the bell rings will not be tolerated. • If you need to wait for someone or talk to someone…go elsewhere. • You MUST get in the classroom and remain seated BEFORE the bell…to facilitate this, you should get started on any “Warm Up” problem posted at the start of the period. • If you have any questions, please talk to me, just do not stand outside my door ;)

  7. 6. Please raise your hand to get out of your seat or for any questions. • I will respond primarily to students that raise their hands. • Please do not interrupt the learning process…especially when I am helping a fellow student. • Getting out of your desk without permission is not polite and may disrupt myself or other students…please ask first!

  8. 7. Please refrain from using mp3 players or cell phones in class. • Please don’t think you are going to fool anyone…I will catch you. • I will give you a few warnings first, then I will confiscate it myself, if that still does not work I will turn it in to the office. • There is a time and place for everything…especially mp3 players and cell phones….here is not the time nor place ;)

  9. 8. Always keep a positive attitude! • Showing that you care about your schoolwork WILL do wonders! • If you try to always be positive…things will eventually always work out right. • Being positive will only help our entire classroom flourish!

  10. 9. Always do your best and be your best! • If you always try your best and work hard…you can accomplish any goals or learn how to. • We will focus on doing our best on the TAKS test…always trying hard no matter what test you take will prepare you like you wouldn’t believe! • Be your best by never settling for mediocrity…aim high. • Be your best also by remembering to be polite and patient.

  11. 10. HAVE FUN!!!!! =) • Yes we are here to learn and work hard…but do remember……we ARE here to learn as a family and we will have fun times ahead. • No matter how difficult things may seem at times…remember we are a team and we will always do our best!
