Presentation Transcript
An example of protein sequencing using a MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometer. The MS/MS spectrum recorded from the fragmentation of an ion at 1016.47. The interpretation of this spectrum gave the putative sequence VDFDDXHR, where X denotes either an L or an I. This sequence is matched to VDFDDIHR in canine troponin T.
Structure elucidation of an arabinoxylan oligosaccharide by normal-phase chromatography-MALDI-TOF/TOF tandem mass spectrometry (Maslen et al. 2007, Carbohydrate Research, 342, 724-735).
