Captured 2 SS onsets in sci-orbit

In March 2023, the THEMIS Polar mission observed two significant substorm onsets, with detailed data available from various instruments. Real-time auroral electrojet (AE) measurements indicate potential risks over the next two years, prompting collaboration with NSF to maintain data integrity. Advanced tools are being developed to integrate AE data into the THEMIS database. Observations include localized intensifications and ion injections at Kiana, with capabilities to identify sources in space and corresponding ground signatures. Software solutions for data accuracy are also in development.
