  2. Introduce Yourself • To each of your teachers – Part 1 • To your tutors – Part 2 • To someone in your class! • Find out what you have missed • Find out what you need to complete

Attendance • All MC students – 80% attendance is required for all tutorials • Attend those classes nominated on your timetable • Medical Certificates only EXPLAIN your absence, they do not give you attendance • It is your responsibility to check that you have been marked off the roll in your classes • A higher level of attendance often leads to a higher level of achievement.

  4. Emails • Must use your Monash email account • Check your emails every day for general communications, notification of timetable changes, assignment details and exams • To email your teacher, use their name followed by @monashcollege.mcpl.edu.au e.g. howard.doyle@monashcollege.mcpl.edu.au

  5. Unit Materials:Discuss access with your teacher Moodle and Blackboard are our learning management systems and contain: • Unit outline • Weekly topics • Weekly reading • Hurdle requirements – refer to unit outline and particular assessment requirements • Extensions • Internal assessment and due dates • Lecture notes

  7. Group Assignments • May have already started • You will have to accept which group you are placed in • Need to find out what has already been done

  8. Progression • You will need a GPA average to enter your desired degree • This GPA can vary within degrees • Refer to the website for your course of study or discuss further with your Teaching and Learning Team Leader/Academic Manager
