  7. Penn CTSA CommunityEngagement Plans-1 1. To partner with the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Community Partnerships; 2. To partner with the School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity and Community Outreach; 3. To include members of the West Philadelphia community (probably a patient or family member of a patient) on the Translational Research Center Council; 4. To foster our performance of community-based participatory research, including assessing the health needs of the community and funding community-based participatory research projects;

Through partnership with the Leonard Davis Institute and the Wharton School, to develop a new Dissemination Core, to reach out to policymakers nationwide; 6. Use of UPHS and CHOP web pages to publicize clinical trials; 7. To develop a new Core in Community Outreach using Health System Informatics, which will enhance subject recruitment, allow for evaluation of new types of medical practice, and facilitate the application of translational discoveries into the community;
