REJECTED COMCAM IMAGERY

This analysis explores the differences between the official MINUSTAH imagery available on their Flickr account and Canadian Forces Combat Camera images that were rejected by MINUSTAH's Media and Public Information Office (MPIO). Out of 24 images submitted on September 16, 2013, 11 were declined (46%). The imagery primarily depicts Canadian Forces patrolling Port-au-Prince and engaging with local communities. MCpl Gaudreault took the initiative to review the MINUSTAH Flickr account to guide his photography efforts before deployment to Haiti.

REJECTED COMCAM IMAGERY • Comparisons between the official MINUSTAH imagery available on the MINUSTAH Flickr account and the Canadian Forces Combat Camera imagery that has been rejected by the MINUSTAH MPIO. • Out of 24 images submitted the 16th of September 2013, 11 were declined (46%). • Imagery is showcasing the Canadian Forces patrolling Port-au-Prince and interacting with the local population. • MCplGaudreault took the time, before getting deployed in Haiti, to browse the MINUSTAH Flickr account to make sure he understood what too captureand what not.
